Blood plasma, the liquid component of blood, serves four primary functions: transporting nutrients, gases, and hormones; regulating body temperature and pH balance; aiding in immunity through antibodies; and promoting blood clotting to prevent excessive bleeding. It maintains blood volume and pressure, ensuring effective circulation throughout the body.
